Mark Prince Reappointed to Illinois Workers’ Compensation Advisory Board

We are excited to announce that Governor Pritzker has reappointed our founding partner, Mark Prince, to the Illinois Workers’ Compensation Advisory Board. This will be Mark’s third term serving on this important board, with one term under Governor Quinn and two under Governor Pritzker. In each term, Mark has served as a voice for labor and injured workers.

The Illinois Workers’ Compensation Advisory Board (WCAB) assists the Illinois Workers’ Compensation Commission (IWCC) in formulating policies, solving problems, setting expenditure priorities, and establishing administrative goals. Prior to making appointments to the Workers’ Compensation Commission, the Governor requests the WCAB to make recommendations about which candidates that should be appointed to serve as an arbitrator. The arbitrator is the administrative law judge that decides the level of compensation that a worker hurt on the job receives.

“I am very excited to be able to continue my role on the Workers’ Compensation Advisory Board so that I can do whatever I can to protect the interests of all workers injured on the job in the State of Illinois,” Mark said when asked about his reappointment.
